Removal and installation of a chain wheel of a fuel pump drive
1. High pressure pump drive sprocket
2. Sleeve
3. Screw
4. injection pump
5. Exhaust camshaft gear
6. Pin
7. Screw
8. Shoe - drive chain damper
9. Front cylinder head cover
10. Valve cover
11. Exhaust camshaft
12. Inlet camshaft
13. Fuel priming pump drive shaft
14. Inlet camshaft retainer
Removal and installation
1. Remove valve cover (10).
2. Install piston cylinder number (1) at TDC
Attention! The engine should be rotated by the crankshaft in a clockwise direction. Do not rotate the engine by the camshaft, and do not rotate the engine in the opposite direction.
3. Fix the intake camshaft (12) with a fixative (14) (hole A on the bearing cap No. 1 of the intake camshaft).
4. Remove the front cover (9) cylinder heads.
5. Unscrew the drive shaft (13) intake camshaft (1), remove the damper (8) drive chain,
6. Remove the high pressure pump (4).
7. Mark the position of the sprocket (5) regarding the chain.
9. Disconnect the chain wheel (5) camshaft drive (11) exhaust valves and remove it together with the chain. Hold the shaft with the key. Replace screws when installing (7).
9. Loosen the screw (3) gear wheel mounting (1) to high pressure fuel pump (4).
10. Remove the intermediate chain wheel of the high pressure pump drive together with the bushing (2).
11. Install in reverse order. Check the position of the camshafts, adjust if necessary.
