Removing
1. Remove the timing chain.
2. Remove the crankshaft rear cover along with the oil seal.
3. Remove the connecting rod caps.
4. Mark connecting rod bearings and caps for each cylinder.
5. Turn off covers of radical bearings 2 and an adjusting cover 2а (see fig.5.30). Mark the lower main bearing shells 21 and the lower thrust washers 22. The main bearing caps 2 and the installation cap 2a are numbered sequentially, starting with the front cover 2 (see fig.5.31).

6. Remove the crankshaft 20 from the cylinder block. Mark the top bearings 24 and the top thrust washers of the cylinder block.
Installation
7. Install the crankshaft 20 in the cylinder block. Lubricate the upper bearings before installing the crankshaft 20. The oil passages in the thrust washers 22 and 23 must be installed with the shoulders up. The thrust washers of the main bearing caps each have two locking lugs to prevent rotation.
8. Establish covers of radical bearings 2 and an adjusting cover 2а. Before installing the lower bearings, they must be lubricated.
9. Check up bolts of fastening of 3 covers of radical bearings 2 and covers 2а and establish them.
10. Grease a carving part and tighten bolts of fastening of covers of radical bearings.
11. Insert connecting rod caps and tighten bolts of their fastening.
12. Rotating the crankshaft 20, check the ease of its rotation.
13. Establish a back cover of a cranked shaft together with an epiploon.
14. Install the timing chain.
