Attention: Depending on the version of the carburetor, 2 different idle code shut-off valves are installed. Whereas on the CDT carburetor from 07.80 the shut-off valve is screwed into the float chamber under the carburetor, on the CDTU carburetor until 06.80 it is at the top of the intake pipe, behind the carburetor. In order to replace the valve, it is not necessary to remove the carburetor. In a CDT carburetor, install only valves with the code designation 0.231.
Removing
Remove air filter.
Disconnect the electrical wire from the shut-off valve.
Take out the safety cuff.
Loosen locknut (59) and unscrew the valve. Do not twist the nut.
Installation
Replace defective O-rings (see arrows).
Screw in the idle shutoff valve to the locknut. If a new valve is used, tighten the locknut in the same place as on the old one.
Attention: If the lock nut has been twisted by mistake, unscrew the float chamber and remove it together with the jet holder and pressure spring. Screw the valve into the float chamber until it enters 25±0.5 mm into the chamber. Slide the jet holder onto the valve, insert the pressure spring and wrap the float chamber with a new gasket. At this time, pre-lubricate the bolts with sealant and do not tighten too much.
Insert electrical wire.
Adjust idle speed and CO content.
Tighten locknut.
Install the air filter.
