Oil is supplied to the lubrication points under pressure provided by the oil pump. The pump is powered by the engine crankshaft control circuit. The power of the gear pump depends on the characteristics of the engine and is achieved by gears of different widths. The oil pump is equipped with a pressure reducing valve that limits the pressure to 5 bar. The suction pipe of the oil pump is immersed in an oil bath (oil pan). Oil flows from the pump to the oil filter. At maximum crankshaft speeds, more than 30 liters of oil per minute passes through the oil pump.
