Draining fuel from the fuel tank

The fuel tank does not have a drain plug. The fuel supply and return pipes are not located at the bottom of the tank, so drain the fuel by gravity, simply by disconnecting the pipe (opening the cork), impossible.

Sequence of work

1. If the tank is still sufficiently full, unscrew the tank cap and lower the hose as far as possible into the tank.

2. Close the hose opening tightly with your finger. The drainage container must be located below the level of the fuel tank. Dip the end of the hose into a receiving container. If the other end of the hose is sufficiently immersed in the fuel tank, the fuel will flow by gravity into the receiving container. Sucking fuel by mouth is dangerous to health.

3. If there is little fuel in the tank, then the above method of draining is unsuitable. A special fuel pump must be used.
