Pic. 9.11. To remove the battery, first remove the cable from the negative terminal, then from the positive
2. Remove the wire from the negative terminal of the battery so that during further work there is no short circuit (pic. 9.11).
3. Remove a wire from the positive plug of the storage battery.
4. Remove the ventilation tube (if it is installed).
5. Turn away and take out a bolt of fastening of the bottom part of the battery.
6. Remove the battery.
7. When reinstalling, make sure the battery is securely fastened (shaking while driving can damage the battery's lead electrodes).
8. Connect the positive terminal first, then the negative. It is impossible to mix up the wire terminals, since the contacts of the battery poles have different diameters.
9. Replace the ventilation tube (if provided).
10. Apply special compound or petroleum jelly to the terminals.
