Engine with six cylinders in line with two camshafts mounted in the cylinder head. Each camshaft only controls the intake or exhaust valves.

The crankshaft is supported by 7 main bearings in the cylinder block. The axial play of the crankshaft is regulated by thrust half rings located on both sides of the main bearing No. 5.

The camshaft is driven by a double chain from the crankshaft sprocket.

Each camshaft is supported by 7 bearings in the cylinder head and actuates the valves via hydraulic tappets.

The oil pump is driven by a chain from the crankshaft sprocket.
