Checking the flexible coupling of the cardan shaft

1. Raise and place the vehicle on stands.

2. If necessary, remove the bottom cover of the engine compartment, refer to Section Removal and installation of a cover of an impellent compartment from the bottom.



3. Visually check, with a lamp, the flexible coupling of the propeller shaft for wear, damage and deformation.

4. Check for cracks in the damping elements around the bushings.

5. If necessary, replace the cardan shaft coupling. If there are deformations, relieve the load on the shaft. If distortion persists, replace clutch.

6. Check the damping elements for cracks. Replace if necessary.

7. Lower the car on wheels.
