Security measures
Be careful when replacing xenon headlight bulbs. There is a risk of injury due to high voltage! Just in case, turn off the headlight and disconnect the battery. After replacement, briefly turn the headlight on and off to remove residual voltage. For safety reasons, wear shoes with rubber soles.
Removing
1. Open the hood.
2. Disconnect the negative cable (-) battery with the ignition off. The cabin air filter box must first be removed.
Attention! Before disconnecting the cable, find out the security code of the radio, if any, refer to Section Replacing the battery.
3. Remove the front bumper, refer to Section Removal and installation of a bumper.
4. Remove the screws (1).
5. Remove the bolt (2).
6. Disconnect all sockets of a headlight as it is described in Section Replacement of incandescent lamps of outdoor lighting devices.
7. Using a screwdriver, carefully remove the air hose from the headlight range control unit.
Attention! There is a risk of damage to the connecting element.
Note. On models with xenon headlights, the air hose is attached to the bottom of the headlight.
8. Carefully pull the headlight forward and remove.
Installation
1. Insert the headlight into the fender cutout.
2. Dock the headlight connector.
3. Secure the air hose.
4. Check the correct position of the rubber seal and correct if necessary.
5. Screw in three screws of fastening of a headlight.
6. Reinstall the bumper, refer to Section Removal and installation of a bumper.
7. Connect ground cable (-) battery with the ignition off. Install the cabin air filter box. If necessary, enter the radio code and set the time on the clock.
8. Close the hood.
9. Check the correct headlight adjustment at the service station and, if necessary, adjust.
10. Models with xenon headlights: Set the zero position of the electronic headlight range control unit at the workshop.
