Note. The hood lock, which has a hard move, is not lubricated, but replaced.
Removing
1. Open the hood and place it vertically.
2. Mark the position of the lock latch (1) using a flasher.
3. Turn out bolts of fastening (arrows in the illustration) and remove the latch from the hood.
4. Mark the position of the hood latch (1) using a flasher.
5. Turn out bolts of fastening (arrows in the illustration) and take out the lock (1) from the front of the radiator.
6. Disconnect the hood drive cable from the lock and remove the lock.
7. Mark the position of the locking hook (1) on the hood with a felt-tip pen.
8. Turn out bolts of fastening (arrows in the illustration) and remove the locking hook (1) from the hood.
Installation
1. Fix the locking hook on the hood according to the 8Nm torque mark.
2. Install the hood lock into the front panel near the radiator, connect the drive cable to the lock and fasten the cable to the front panel.
3. Fasten the lock in accordance with the mark on the front panel near the radiator with a torque of 8Nm.
4. Fix the clamp in accordance with the mark on the hood with a torque of 8Nm.
5. Close the hood, check the operation of the lock, as well as the locking hook. If necessary, loosen the mounting bolts and move the hood latch.
