Removing
1. Open the hood and place it vertically.
2. Remove the front spoiler grille, refer to the relevant section.
3. Disconnect the windshield washer jet heater connector and remove the hoses from the jet, as described in Section Removal and installation of a windshield washer jet.
4. If a solar sensor is installed, disconnect its connector located under the ventilation grille.
5. Disconnect wires from holders on a cowl.
6. To facilitate the subsequent installation of the hood, mark the position of its loops with a felt-tip pen.
Attention! To remove the gas-filled stop, ask an assistant to hold the hood. Otherwise, the hood will fall, because. cannot be held with one hand.
7. Disconnect the gas-filled stop from the ball joint on the hood and remove. To do this, slightly lift the retaining ring of the stop with a screwdriver (arrow illustration). Remove the second stop in the same way.
8. Remove the fixing screws (arrows in the illustration) and remove the hood with the help of an assistant. Place a rag between the hood and the bodywork to prevent damage to the paintwork before loosening the hinge screws.
9. Place the hood on a secure pad.
Installation
1. Replace the hood with the help of an assistant and fasten the screws without tightening them.
2. Close the hood and check the gap around the perimeter of the fit, adjust if necessary.
3. Tighten the fastening screws to 8Nm.
4. Install one gas-filled stop on the ball joint and insert the circlip. Install the second stop in the same way.
