PMS and HFM engine management systems

C-class engines are equipped with an electronic ignition and fuel injection system. The ignition and injection systems are controlled by one common control device. This section describes the injection system in more detail.

All parts of the injection system are stable over a long period of operation and do not require complex maintenance, so repairs are extremely rare. Significant adjustment and repair work can only be carried out with the use of expensive monitoring devices and the availability of appropriate professional knowledge, so that these works can only be carried out by suitably equipped specialized car repair shops.
