Air Conditioner Service Rules

Before turning on the air conditioner, open the windows or sunroof to ventilate the vehicle interior.

With the car moving, turn on the air conditioner and set the temperature control to the position "cooling".

First, switch the air conditioner to the most intensive cooling mode. After a while, switch the air conditioner to moderate cooling mode.

It is recommended to maintain the temperature inside the passenger compartment no more than 5°C below the ambient temperature.

It is not recommended to blow the cooling air directly on the body of the passenger or driver. It is most reasonable to direct the air flow from the air conditioner outlets to the windshields. This will help spread the jet evenly.

It is recommended to turn on the air conditioner at least 1-2 times a month. With more rare inclusions, the tightness at the junctions of the hoses is broken.

Do not smoke when the air conditioner is turned on, as the smoke sucked in by the air conditioner may interfere with the operation of the evaporator.

It is recommended to carry out maintenance of the air conditioner elements once a year. Only then can its correct functioning be guaranteed. Maintenance costs range from 150 to 250 DM.
