2.0L diesel engine
Diesel engine 2.2/2.5L
24. Accelerator pedal; 31/1. Guide lever; 32. Gas control cable; 32/3. Set bolt; 38. Throttle lever stop
Check the adjusting lever, tie rod and throttle cable for ease of movement and damage. Replace damaged parts.
Idle adjustment (accelerator pedal (224) not pressed)
1. Loosen hex bolt (With) on connecting rod (200) hydraulic valve.
2. loosen the nut (204/1) on the spherical head of the connecting rod (204).
3. Turn the adjusting nut until the roller (215) in the rocker arm without tension, it will lie on the end stop.
Attention! After adjustment between the spring plate (226) and the spring itself (227) there should be no gap.
4. tighten the nut (204/1) on the spherical head of the connecting rod.
5. Automatic transmission: hang the ball bearing of the control cable without tension (211). To do this, pull the control cable until you feel resistance. Spin the bolt (211/1) until the cable drive hangs without tension.
6. Guide lever (d) turn the hydraulic valve until it rests on the idle speed limiter.
7. Stretch tie rod (200) on the riveted side until free play is established.
8. Tighten the hex bolt (With).
Full throttle control (Manual Transmission)
1. Turning to the left, disengage the throttle lever stop (216) in legroom. Depress the accelerator pedal slowly (224) until the control lever directly reaches the stop of the throttle lever (arrow) on the injector pump.
2. In this position, turning to the right, lock the stop of the throttle lever (216) in the inner space.
Full throttle control (Automatic transmission)
1. Depress the accelerator pedal (224) to the stop without actuating the accelerator switch (S16/7).
2. Turn the set screw (232) until the control lever directly reaches the throttle stop (arrow) on the fuel injector pump.
Throttle cable adjustment
Check for ease of movement and damage to the adjusting lever and throttle cable. Replace damaged parts.
Idle control (accelerator pedal is not pressed)
Turn the adjusting bolt until the guide lever rests without stress on the travel stop (A).
Full Throttle Control (Manual Transmission)
1. Turning to the left, disengage the throttle lever stop (38) in the footwell and pull out the stop bolt slightly.
2. Slowly depress the accelerator pedal until the guide lever directly reaches the stop of the throttle lever (b), limiting its maximum opening.
3. By turning to the right, fix the stop of the throttle lever in this position in the interior space.
