4-cylinder petrol engine
Removing
1. Remove the cooling fan hydraulic clutch.
2. Disconnect the coolant hose (4) on the fan cover (11).
3. Remove fixing springs (1).
4. Pull out the fan shroud (11) up from the clamping device on the heatsink.
Installation
1. Insert the fan shroud together with the fixing plates into the clamping device on the radiator. The number of fixing plates may vary depending on the model.
2. Install the fan shroud on one axis (11) in relation to the fan (25) in accordance with the specified dimensions:
- A: 22–25 mm
- H: 25-38mm
- C: 17–23 mm
3. Press the fixing springs (1).
4. Attach the coolant hose.
Features of the 6-cylinder engine
1. To take off the ring (2) fan shroud, pull out the locking pin (1).
2. Rotate the ring to the left and place it on top of the fan.
3. Install the fan shroud ring onto the shroud (3) and turn it to the right until the locking pin can be inserted.
Diesel engine
Removing
1. Disconnect the retaining clips. For a 2.5L engine, pull the fan shroud out of the clamping device (arrow) and lay over the fan.
2. Disassemble the cooling fan hydraulic clutch.
3. Disconnect the coolant hose from the fan shroud.
4. 2.0/2.2L Engine: Pull up the fan shroud from the clamp on the radiator.
Installation
1. Insert fan shroud with fixing straps (arrows) into the clamping device on the radiator. Depending on the model, the number of fixing strips may vary.
2. Center the fan shroud in relation to the fan itself according to the indicated dimensions.
2.0L engine:
- A = 22 mm
- H = 31 mm
- C = 20 mm
2.2/2.5L engine:
- A = 22 mm
- H = 28 mm
- C = 20 mm
3. Press the fixing springs.
4. Attach the coolant hose.
