Removing
1. On vehicles equipped with a central locking system or power windows, remove the door trim as described in paragraph 18 and disconnect the relevant wires or vacuum hoses. Loosen the twisted hose between the door and the pillar and pull the wires and hoses out of the door.
2. Remove the threaded seal from the door stop (see fig. 29.2), remove the retainer with washer and. using a drift, knock out the limiter pin.

3. Carefully trace the top and bottom hinge plates on the post.
4. Support the door, unscrew the two upper and two lower bolts securing the hinge plates to the body pillar (see fig. 29.4, a, b).

5. Remove the door from the car back.
Installation
6. Installation is carried out in reverse order, however, make sure that the hinge plates line up with the previously made marks. Adjustments to the hinge plates and door stop can be made to achieve uniform clearance around the perimeter of the door and align the contour of the door panel with the contour of the front fender (see fig. 29.6).
