Vehicles with a gasoline engine.
Attention! For diesel engines, the air filter is removed together with the intake module, see relevant chapter.
1. Disconnect air inlet 1 (see illustration).
2. Disconnect the connecting tube 2 of the air intake (see illustration 6.1).
3. Cars A 190. Disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose located under the resonator box, unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the resonator.
4. Unscrew the bolts 5 fastening the engine control unit 3 to the air filter housing 4, remove the unit and put it aside from the place of work (see illustration 6.1).
5. Unscrew cap 6 from the oil filler neck so that it does not interfere (see illustration 6.1).
6. Move the air filter 4 to the right (see arrow in illustration 6.1), remove from guides 7 and remove.
The air filter is installed in the reverse order of removal.
For ease of installation, lubricate its guides with a thin layer of grease. Replace the sealing ring of the engine control unit with a new one and also lubricate it with a thin layer before installation.
